How to setup POP or IMAP email accounts on iPhone, iPad or iPod

This document guides the step by step details instructions on how to configure your email accounts in Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod using IMAP or POP3.

STEP-1> Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.

STEP-2> Tap Other.

STEP-3> In the Name box, enter your full name.

STEP-4> In the Address box, enter your full e-mail address (i.e. you@yourdomain.com).

STEP-5> In the Password box, enter your password, and then tap Save.

STEP-6> Tap either IMAP or POP. IMAP is recommended.

STEP-7> Under Incoming Mail Server, in the Host Name box, enter your incoming server name. (Your incoming mail server will like mail.yourdomain.com, if your website hosted at bluechipspace.com)

STEP-8> In the User Name box, enter your full e-mail address (i.e. you@yourdomain.com). In the Password box, enter your password.

STEP-9> Under Outgoing Mail Server, in the Host Name box, . (Your outgoing [smtp] mail server will like mail.yourdomain.com, if your website hosted at bluechipspace.com and Port will be 25 or 26; If you have troubles sending emails via port 25, try 26 instead).

STEP-10> In the User Name box, enter your full e-mail address (i.e. you@yourdomain.com). In Password, enter your password.

STEP-11> Tap Save.

 

Note: Before you setup a POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail account, you need to know your own POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP server settings.

 

Settings will be like:

User name: Your full email address

Password: the password for incoming/outgoing email server, make sure you enter the correct password, as you specified when created email id cPanel > Email Accounts

Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com

     IMAP Port: 143

     POP3 Port: 110

Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com

     SMTP Port 25 or 26; if you have troubles sending emails via port 25, try 26 instead.

 

Make sure that

     Authentication is set to password.

     SSL is set to OFF

     Port No. POP: 110, IMAP: 143, SMTP: 25 or 26, SSL: OFF
